Going by the generic name Paliperidone, Invega Sustenna is an atypical antipsychotic drug which has been linked increased risks of death in old patients when used to treat dementia, schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. It apparently works by helping to restore the balance of the neurotransmitters in the brain.

What is very important to take note of is the fact Invega Sustenna is medically not approved for dementia related psychosis, in other words, those who have lost connection or touch with reality. Hyperprolactinemia- increased level of the hormone named prolactin, which can cause irregularity in the menstrual cycle, leakage of milk from breasts, problems with erection and thinking clearly.
